The purpose of this guideline is to provide an updated, practical strategy for the use of enteroscopy. Endoscopic evaluation of the upper GI tract beyond the reach of the standard endoscope may be useful in establishing disease of the small bowel. The procedure can be easily performed using standard endoscopic sedation and monitoring techniques.
